At this year’s Green Vision Award, jointly organized by the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) and the British Standards Institution (BSI), Sunsuivi was honored with the highest accolade—the “Golden Leaf Award.” Today, The magistrate of Miaoli, Chung Tung-chin, made a special visit to present and commend this achievement.

Following our “Green Vision Award” win in 2025, we have reached new heights in 2026 by securing the prestigious “Golden Leaf Award,” making Sunsuivi one of only ten enterprises nationwide to receive this top honor.

Report from the Japan newspaper “商経アドバイス”: At the exhibition this year, Shan Shui Me Food Enterprise from Taiwan showcased Taiwan rice. Shan Shui Me Food Enterprise operates processing facilities that include a Grain Drying & Conditioning Center and a rice milling plant. The company’s facility was awarded first place in the National Grain Industry Sanitation and Safety Evaluation organized by Taiwan’s Council of Agriculture, Agriculture and Food Agency (equivalent to Japan’s Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries), receiving the highest recognition for quality and standards. The company has established its own brand, “Sunsuivi”, and presented a variety of products in Japan, including Taiwan Koshihikari, Taiken No. 9, and Multi-purpose Sushi Rice. “Sunsuivi”rice is cultivated with water sourced from the glacial lakes of the Snow Mountain Range at an altitude of 3,517 meters. This pristine water is rich in trace minerals. Currently, around 60 tons per month are exported to Japan, with freshness preserved through vacuum packaging or deoxidation processing.

Creative Rice Cuisine Showcases the Charm of ShanSuiMe Taiwan Rice

Shan Shui Me Food Enterprise Hosts “Art of Rice – Shan Shui Me Food International Feast” Press Conference at Taipei International Food Show On June 25, Shan Shui Me Food Enterprise grandly held the “Art of Rice – Shan Shui Me Food International Feast” press event at the Taipei International Food Show, showcasing the cultural value and export potential of Taiwan rice to professional buyers from around the world.

The event gathered distinguished guests, including Minister of Agriculture Chen Jun-ji, officials from the Agriculture and Food Agency and Department of International Affairs, Miaoli County Magistrate Chung Tung-chin and his county team, as well as well-known partners such as Formosa Chang (Hsu Hsu Chang Braised Pork Rice), Yoshinoya, China Pacific Catering Services (CPCS), the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA), and representatives from major Southeast Asian supermarket chains. Guests experienced firsthand how SUNSUI Rice embodies and interprets the excellence of Taiwanese rice, further strengthening international procurement interest and securing more global orders for Taiwan rice.

The event was hosted by Tu Chieh, a renowned Golden Bell Award-winning broadcaster. Culinary demonstrations were led by Chef Cheng Chun-hao, a Michelin-trained chef and contestant on the new reality cooking show “Star Chef Battle.” He prepared a series of rice dishes: “Seaweed Onigiri” using SUNSUI Timu Farm Taiwan  Koshihikari Rice, “Chicken Gomoku Takikomi Gohan” made with :Yum Organic Rice, and a traditional “Taiwanese Sticky Rice Dumpling” reimagined with SUNSUI Sunlight Rice. Through simple yet layered cooking techniques, these dishes highlighted the versatility and international appeal of SUNSUI Rice. Rice was presented not just as a staple, but as culture, memory, and the essence of the land and craftsmanship.

With this event, Shan Shui Me Food Enterprise sought to redefine the value of Taiwanese rice, presenting its limitless possibilities through culinary innovation and adding a new chapter to Taiwan’s cultural soft power. Hsu Hsu Su-chen, Executive Director of Formosa Chang Braised Pork Rice, a partner of SUNSUI Rice for nearly 30 years, shared her impressions: “Every dish was deeply moving. The traditional rice dumpling, in particular, uses Japonica  Rice instead of sticky rice, making it easier to digest and less heavy. This inspired Formosa Chang to collaborate with Shan Shui Me Food Enterprise  to launch a  Japonica Rice Dumpling next year—please look forward to it.”
